BIRCH’S ON THE LAKE OPENS: LONG-ANTICIPATED SUPPERCLUB NOW SERVING DINNER

After months of anticipation, Birch’s on the Lake Brewhouse & Supperclub opened its doors for business on Sept. 28. According to co-owners Burton Joseph and Brennan Greene, the first of many evenings at Long Lake’s new supperclub went quite smoothly.

“When you look at it, it felt like we’d been there for a while, and that was the goal,” said Joseph. “It was very successful for our first night out.”

Monday’s opening brought just over 250 people in to the restaurant for dinner. Those familiar with the interior of what was once Billy’s Lighthouse will find the space entirely transformed, and those coming out for the first time will find a sprawling, wood-adorned interior reminiscent of a Wisconsin supperclub that succeeds in being plush and welcoming as well.

Joseph said that, from what he gathered on that first night, the diners were coming from a few different places to check out the diner’s opening night.

“A lot of customers were from Birch’s in the past,” said Joseph. “But it’s so interesting – there were a few people that used to work at Billy’s, and a few who used to dine at Billy’s.”
